Save The Child / Save The Teenager specializes in Native ways of preventing school violence, youth drug use, and increasing a student’s self esteem.  Indians can identify with the training and curriculum provided because it portrays Native life both on and off the reservation - in real life!

It is the only Native violence and drug prevention training program in the world that provides on-site training for Native schools, board members, parents, and students as well as the community.  All training materials are designed specifically by and for Native people, and are not "adapted" from non-Native programs.

Increase school attendance while providing teachers and students with a sense of dignity, self-respect, and accomplishment by capitalizing on Indian Learning Strengths.

Take control of the classroom, provide a positive atmosphere with high expectations.  Teach students “how to teach themselves” with the teacher as facilitator.

Realize the importance of regular, daily attendance in school.  Help children to eliminate the “baggage” they carry to school that can unknowingly interfere with learning.

Every child is entitled to attend school in a drug-free zone, and no child has the right to jeopardize another child’s education.

A school with the full support of the community will achieve at a much higher level.  A higher achieving youth population is the key to success for the next generation.
